Dear DW Confidential,

I know that you like to insert little musical montages between the director interviews and behind-the-scenes footage. I have no problem with this, even if they do occasionally resemble shippy fanvids. However, your most recent foray into this medium was, to put it bluntly, made of fail. Showing clips of the Sontarans' past appearances would have been a nice touch, except that the song you chose for the montage was Kanye West's "Stronger". Seriously, you guys. I realize that by using popular songs you are trying to make Doctor Who accessible to the Youth of Today, but do you know what that song is about? It is about sex. It is about Kanye West having sex, and singing about it using extremely transparent euphemisms. I know that the Youth of Today is into some wild and crazy stuff, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't extend to thinking sexy thoughts about potato-headed aliens with laser wands. So do you see the problem? Let me put it very simply:

"I need you to hurry up now, cause I can't wait much longer" + Sontarans = DO. NOT. WANT.

Thank you.

Welcome

So this is "A Most Ingenious Paradox". My hope is I can get a small core group of geeky Science Fiction fans here to argue about of try to explain horribly complex time travel scenarios. Eventually, however, it may come to encompass all things geeky and Science-fictiony. There will probably be a lot of Doctor Who and Torchwood related discussion at least at first, since we're all kind of obsessed with the Doctor at the moment.
